This article is about a Tuareg from Niger, now living in NY and sharing his culture. The Tuareg are a nomadic group of the Sahara desert and a major ethnic group in the city of Timbuktu. They are cousins to Vieux Farka Touré's Sonrai people. Vieux and his father have been influenced by the Tuareg musical tradition and their sounds have influenced today's Tuareg musicians (in addition to many other musicians throughout the world). Enjoy!
